Because religion is separated from the state, secularism (laicity) is a type of political principle by which society, through the country’s constitution, requires the government, state, and all of its subordinate institutions to operate independently of any Shariah, religion, or ideology. All institutions restrict the use of religious or ideological symbols, beliefs, and ideas.
Hamava followers believe in secularism and laicism. Hamava advocates for the separation of religion and state as well as for people’s freedom, which ensures that their religious or non-religious beliefs are safe and guaranteed within appropriate, free, and safe conditions.
Hamava regards laicity as one of the necessary tools for democracy and national solidarity, and it opposes any radicalism or instrumental use of the concept of religious separation from the state in all its forms.
Hamava believes that the Iranian creationism idea should serve as the foundation for Iran’s democratic governance. Every Iranian citizen, regardless of ethnicity, descent, belief, or disbelief, deserves equal treatment under the law.
The country’s educational institutions should be independent of religion, jurisprudence, and ideology. Under the help of an educational institution, children under the age of eighteen should be able to freely learn and grow, allowing them to choose their beliefs and opinions when they reach legal age.
The three government powers should act independently and apart from one another, free of any religion, ideology, or jurisprudence.
Laicity, or Iranian creationism, is about the freedom of all beliefs. Every citizen is free to hold their own beliefs in total safety while respecting others’ beliefs.
Hemava sees Iranian secularism (creationism) as a means of promoting tolerance and nonviolence in society, as well as the peaceful coexistence of inhabitants.
