As the new year approaches, Episode Seven of the HamAva podcast features a special segment on Christian converts in Iran. In this episode, journalist and researcher Fred Petrosian speaks with Azita Kadkhoda, a Christian convert now living in Sweden, and Mohammad Moghimi, a lawyer and legal expert.
Azita Kadkhoda shares her experiences of repression, hardship, and resilience as a Christian convert in Iran. She also speaks about the civil activism of Christian converts in Sweden, and their solidarity with the freedom-seeking struggles of the Iranian people, from the “I Am Also a Christian” campaign to the “Woman, Life, Freedom” movement.
In the final segment, Mohammad Moghimi, an attorney and legal scholar, discusses how the Islamic Republic’s inhumane legal framework targets Christian converts and violates their fundamental rights.
