Freedom for the people of Iran
Women, Life, Freedom
3 february 2023
Due to the social context and calls for a national strike, we are forced to postpone the event to 3 February 2023. Please register again, or register.
Organized under the high patronage of the President of the French National Assembly, Mrs Yaël Braun-Pivet, on the initiative of Mrs Astrid Panosyan-Bouvet, Member of Parliament for Paris, the HamAva association and the International League against Racism and anti-Semitism (Licra), this day of mobilization will pay tribute to the women and men who are currently fighting for their freedoms in Iran.
Since the death of Mahsa-Jina Amini on September 16, 2022, the Iranian people have revolted in the streets with the slogan “women, life, freedom!” It demands the establishment of a modern, democratic, and secular political regime respecting human dignity, equal rights, and freedom of speech. The bloody repression carried out by the Islamic Republic must be denounced by voices of revolt, hope, freedom, and democracy. We cordially invite you to this event, which will feature testimonies from Iranian women and men both inside Iran and in the diaspora, as well as expert analyses during two round tables.
